hey guys......i've had my triaxis about 9 or 10 years. no problems of any kind.....it's been very reliable. however, today I turned on my rig and was going through some sounds and flipped over to a lead 1 red sound that should have been smoking and it was barely making a sound at all. same thing on all the lead 1 channels and rhythm channels.

the lead 2 channels allow much more volume thru but the gain for each setting is about 60-70% lower than what it should be. the scary part is that when i look at the back of the unit the v1 and v2 tubes are putting out little to no light while the v3, v4 and v5 are shining like usual.

i have extra tubes in my possession and I have switched them in and out of v1 and v2 but nothing changes the issue. i can power down the unit and when i turn it back on it initially sounds like the gain is back but almost instantly when i hit the first note it goes from being it's "normal" self to nearly all of the volume dissapearing in a millisecond.

has anybody had this happen to them before? if so, what was the problem? any ideas or thoughts would be hugely appreciated....as I am really bummed out AND I have an important gig in less than 10 days.

Sounds like you may have fried a circuit. If changing the tubes didn't work, I would call Mesa and see if they can fix it for you...or claim the insurance and go buy another Triaxis.
