HI, i want to know if there is a way to change presets on the triaxis and at the same time turn on and off fxs on the tc g major with the art x-15 midi controller . i know how to turn fxs on and off on the g major via the art x-15 stombox mode , but in that mode i cant change presets on the triaxis Without changing to preset mode on the art x-15. is there a way to use the g major stompbox mode and change presets on the triaxis? i have the midi out from the x-15 to the midi in on the triaxis and from the midi thru to the midi in on the g major . thanks and sorry for my poor english.

i almost have the same set up you have, except I use the g-force with the ART X-15 with the triaxis. Same connection as you mentioned in midi, i don't think the x-15 can combine a "stompbox" mode and preset mode. it's either on the stompbox mode, or a preset mode. good luck.

so the only way is preset mode for switching the triaxis. how do you set up yours , preset or stompbox mode? thanks

I switch between modes. What I do is program the triaxis to get the basic sound you want i.e. clean, crunch or distortion. Once the basic sound is setup, then I switch modes on the footswitch and use the stompbox mode to switch effects on/off on the g-force. I also use one of the expression pedals as a volume control for the g-force to compensate for slight differences in volume between triaxis presets and boost during solos when needed. g-force is connected in the loop of the triaxis.

it'll take time to program the rig since when you change presets on the triaxis, the g-force follows the number preset. it's one of those things that i found a bit of constraint with the x-15/g-force/triaxis set up. the switching via midi is time consuming and very linear. you need to plan out your preset sound along with needed effect per preset sound on the triaxis.

All right. I'll give it a shot. i found that switching between modes on the x-15 is time consuming since i came from the old school 2 channels amps type of playing. thanks a lot man.

I agree with you, the thought of having two midi controllers (dedicated controller for triaxis and g-force/major) is scary! Takes up a lot of floor space and packing up all that gear after a gig is nothing to look forward to! That's why I just accept/tolerate the compromise of that x-15 foot controller to use for both the Triaxis and G-force/Major.

My other set up is simpler, just a single channel amp and a Line 6 M13. Set up and packing up is a breeze after three sets. I know the tone from Triaxis is phenominal, but lugging all that gear gets to be a bear though.

One more thing to note on the x-15, be careful of the "tape" that is used for control on the expression pedals. It's mechanically fragile and if it's get misplaced from it's slot, you'll lose the ability to use the expression pedal. Just slip the "tape" back in place.

Hope it works for you.
