I know that John Myung from DT has been using one from time to time, more recently now. Decided i wanted to look into this more and see if there was anyone else out there using a Triaxis for bass and the different possible mods done to it. Also curious in how it sounds on its own for this application lol. thanks

I'm not exactly sure how or where the Triaxis fits into his rig, but I remember reading somewhere that his has been custom modified by Boogie for bass use. I would think a stock Triaxis would have too narrow a frequency response for a good full bass tone. High gain guitar amps usually have a pretty healthy low frequency roll off to keep them from getting farty sounding. I suppose you could use it with some low frequency bypassed signal mixed back in to get the girth back.

Ya, I know he had Mesa mod it for him so it could run bass without sounding too thin and crappy but he could be running it along side with a dry signal for more of a "usable" bass tone with some really high gain. Just curious if there were any other mods beside that done to it as well and if anyone out there is using it like he is. I also have heard, its even on Mesa's site that he has a roadking in his rig too, so idk what to make of it lol
