I also tried a take on that tone, gear used was my 2003 Ibanez RG2620QMSP Prestige (with CrunchLab and LiquiFire pups) into a Triaxis with Lexicon MPX-G2 (Lead2Yellow....obviously) through a modded Mesa 50/50 into a Peavey 212JS Stereo Cab with Celestion Vintage 30s. Speakers were mic'ed with cheapo Superlux PRA628 mics which went through a Lexicon Omega USB interface into my Sony VAIO notebook running Reaper (64bit).
The backing track is the same as above (from the CD) and there was no post processing, just trying to match the levels.
The recorded tone is the same one I use live......
