I have a tremoverb that the tremolo is not working all I hear is a ticking that i can either speed up or down using the speed switch, I can not get it to oscillate. I can still get sound with the tremolo on or off. Michael at Mesa was kind enough to send me a schematic, so I opened it up and see nothing unusual. The only thing i see in common is a chip #555 that all the circuitry goes thru. I searched the archives but found nothing. Any help would be appreciated.

no only the reverb uses a tube to drive it, I'll have to dig deeper. I think I may know what is causing it and will update it as soon as I know.

well i think I solved the problem for those who care, I was able to bridge the ldr#21 to see if it was working and there must have been a cap that wasnt charged since i dont use the tremolo that often and it must have recharged it and works great. didnt have to replace any parts. so if any of you's have the same problem try that.

I would snip that cap out and replace it. Caps need to be used and it may seem fine for now but may be on its way out. The nice thing about electrolytics is you can snip the lead abouve the board and solder the new leads together without having to lift the board or desoldering the pads.
The pads are not as tough as most people think.
