I want to try the donut thingy for speaker beam or dispersion etc. and need to get the grill covering the speaker off.

Has anyone done this with a Tremoverb, and can share how and pics if you have them.

Thanks...I will share my results of on/off axis sound for near/far field.
 
It'd probably be easier to pull the speaker and attach the doughnut to the grille from behind.

Word is it has a negative impact when mic'ing (I forget if it creates phase issues or if its just a filter effect). Probably why no one talks about them anymore now that the hype has died off.
 
Yes, I agree.

I can experiment in front first.

But, I think I will finish my tube roll and then aim the cabs at directly and then tune in my tone.

I have already started the process with one of two TOVs and am already thinking against any donuts, blockers or discs.
