i just received my tremoverb today that i purchased on ebay. this amp is super-mint, as described but as always on ebay, SOMETHING wasn't right. in this case it is the tremolo. i owned one of these back in the 90's so i know what the tremolo sounds like. basically, i can only hear the tremolo effect with both knobs dimed. if i engage the effects loop, i get no tremolo effect whatsoever. anybody ever encounter this? i've got a call in to mesa as i write this. i'll deal w/the ebay seller after.

congrats on the Tverb... just picked one up myself, 212 combo version and my first Rectifier, high gain rectifier that is... GREAT amp

the Tremolo, however seems to be an afterthought, at least with my initial noodling...

have you experienced it as a worthwhile effect?

congrats to you as well. i got the combo too like before, except i WON'T sell this one. no, i'm really not a tremolo user. occasionally i'd kick it on for the last sustaining chord of a song just as a stupid gimmicky helicopter effect. i just want it to work as it IS part of what i payed for w/the package. if it's a cheap fix i'll do it, but i'm not losing any sleep over it just yet. we'll see if the seller makes good on my request for a credit on the sale to put towards the repair. i like the fact that these amps, unlike today's mesas have chassis mounted tube sockets rather than board mounted, AND all the jacks are individual jacks as opposed to 5 or 6 jacks sharing the same board mount (in the case of the jacks on the rear panel). way more service-friendly. enjoy!
