Traditional Recto cab question

These cabs came out as an addition to the oversized Recto cabs in the late 90's or so. Were these traditional Recto cabs front loaded at any point?

There was a guy on Harmony Central a few years ago that insisted his Traditional Mesa Recto cab was front loaded.

So did they change the design or ???
