Hi, I am a bit confused and was looking for clarity. Mark IV combo with lead gain and lead drive at about 6. In bedroom with output at about 1. I was wondering if I am getting to that great tone range or if the output needs to be cranked in order to get to that level.

I am running an OCD pedal in the effects loop and pulled the volume down with that as I push the output level to 6. I don't know that I am a. attenuating the signal, b. burning out my OCD pedal or c. missing the plot completely.

With out the OCD in place, I am getting great distortion on the LD-EQ channel with Leads at 6 and output at around 1.25. Wondering if I am not getting the full fun out my rig.

Thanks loads!

you should run that OCD in the front, not the loop. Time based and mod type effects work best in the loop. You should be able to get a great tone with a Mark IV even at bedroom levels.
