I have a couple of gigs coming up where I will not be able to use my Road King. The venue is small and there are several bands. We only get about 30 minutes each, with minimal setup time.
I'll have to use my DC-3 or another band's amp.

I would like to find a pedal that can get close to channel 3 on Vintage with the gain maxed.
Basically, it sounds like the darkest, most pissed off Marshall on the planet.

Can the Throttle Box do a convincing Recto tone or is it aimed more at a Mark V sound?
Is there another pedal that I should be looking at, besides the Wampler Triple Wreck. I tried it, it's fizzy. It sounds like a Recto that is begging to be turned up.......

Hello Monsta-Tone!

I have a Throttle Box and when the Mid Cut setting is from min-12:00 and the gain switch is on Low, it sounds more like a Mark series. When the Mid-Cut is from 12:00-max and the gain switch is on High, it sounds more like a Dual Rectifier.

I have also a Triple Wreck clone and I think it sounds more like a Peavey 5150.
But they are both good pedals.
