I am wondering if anyone has tried all three of the full recto cabs?

I am talking about the slant/slant, the straight/slant, and the straight/straight.

If you have tried all three, can you please comment on the differences in tone?

I currently have a slant/slant but I was wondering how the other two sounded.

Thanks in advance.

NoGlassNoClass,

Thanks for the post/reply.

This was very useful information considering that you own both and can do a side by side comparison with the same amp, cords, guitar, etc.

Thanks again.

Can anyone comment on the straight/straight cab compared to the other cabs?

Thanks.

Without having heard the straight/straight version, I'll go out on a limb and say it should be more directional and focused (and probably projects farther) with all 4 speakers facing the same direction. It's probably bassier as well due to a larger internal volume.

IMO not a good thing with V-30s if that's what it comes with.

I bet it would KILL loaded with some EV's.

Like I said, I have never tried or even heard one in person, so my opinion is purely speculative.

I agree that it probably sounds bassier/deeper, but I also wonder if its more "boomy" sounding. I HATE "boomy" sounding cabs.

Thanks.
