I am thinking about trading my HotCat 30 for a combo strait up. Value wise it's a pretty even trade, well it is right now anyway. I have seen Mark V's as low as 1600 which I imagine will decline over time and it will level out around the 1400-1500 range. My BadCat is worth about 1800.
I sold my Mark IV a few weeks ago and I miss it more than I have missed any amp I have ever owned (of course I havn't parted with the cat yet). The kid I sold it to actually came to buy the BadCat but I let him try out the Mesa and he offered me a pretty sweet chunk of change for it. So I let it go.
The Mesa and the Cat are totally different amps. There is really no point in comparing the two other than they are both high gain monsters.
I am really on the fence about trading. Anyone like to try to swade me one way or the other? Please do.
