Who uses them?
What should I expect if using with a Mark 1 combo?

Very big bottom, but tight..Focused tone. Big, loud, beefy tone. With EV's, they are awesome! (I have 2 in hardwood)

I use one with my mark III - i like it more than a reco standard 4x12. Sounds tighter and cleaner and does not weight a ton . Its loud but not as insanely loud as a 4x12 - much better for regular gigs .

I also have a pair with EVM's. I use mine primarily in a stereo setup with my TriAxis-50/50 rack. I also use them (either one or two at a time ) with my Mark IV. Best 1-12" cabs I've heard.

What should I expect if using with a Mark 1 combo?

I use a Thiele cab with my Mark I's and my Mark IIB. It adds bottom and a nice punch. Really fills in the sound when you are doing an outdoor gig or a really large room. Surprisingly I don't like it by itself. Works best in conjunction with an open back cab.

Expect alot more bottom, punch and fatness particularly with the EV12L which is the model I use.
