I have seen them listed on craigslist and e-bay for anywhere from $150-$200. Sometimes e-bay gets crazy and they get up to around $250. Depending upon the condition I would say avg is about $200. The EVM-12L is worth about $125 used raw. I lucked out with someone that had a pair that everyone thought was a double listing to get mine. Granted it was KK Audio not Mesa but I got it for $100 plus $20 in gas for the drive to get it. That was a steal because the EVM inside was absolutely perfect with low hours. I got the better of the two that was the backup for the other. They had belonged to a guitarist for a well known "Jazz Singer"

Now is a bad time to compare prices because everyone is getting their tax returns back. Everything has gone up in value over the past few months and I believe it's due to tax season. If you try and buy at a different time you might get a better deal but then again maybe not.

Yeah, I second that thought. Wait a couple months if you can. The prices will settle down. Usually right before kids go to college mid summer the prices fall off a little because there is a slight glut and some are even selling for tuition and books.

Damn tax season...

Hey, the gov't nees to make money anyway they can...

I dunno, I bought a Mesa 290 power amp for about $200(because of a bunch of free stuff thrown in with the deal that can be sold for a profit) and a Mark IV B wide combo for $1000 recently. I guess it depends on how desperate the seller is because they both could have sold for a lot more.

I know i saw a beat up thiele cab go for about $200 recently. You just have to keep your eyes pealed and search as often as possible or have Ebay email your cell phone whenever an auction comes up.

thiele's are also getting somewhat harder to find than they used to be. might explain the increase in price as of late

I think those finding them now are appreciating them more thus less of them for sale.

I think Mesa changed the dimensions to fit their existing cabs better. As long as you maintain the internal air volume and respect the port volume you should be fine provided you don't build a perfect cube in any form. The cube is the worst shape accoustically possible. Even slightly rectangularly shaped is better than a perfect cube.
