the roadster in the operating theater.

okay...seriously i admit i am a newbie. need some advise here on how to open up the roadster combo. tried to do it today just to educate myself in case i want to change the tubes and finding ways to make it lighter (if possible).

1. do you guys put it vertically?
2. do you take out the power tubes first?
3. how in the world did you guys slide it out???! god its super heavy! when i tried to slide it out, the front panel where the knobs are just fell down. not sure where to put my hands.
4. i cant open the behind cover for the speaker. any tricks to do this?

i am not sure if this is the right place to post this but if you guys have any tips and tricks or steps do share with me. i will try to post pictures for my 2nd attempt after this. i am too scared to do anything now. lol!

There are pictures on this board that can help alleviate that curiosity. Opening up your Roadster can lead to trouble or even death if you aren't aware of what you are touching.

i know this thread is old, but...

you're saying you might want to sell your amp because you don't know how to open it up to stick your hands in there and see what it's made up of?

these are the people i love to buy stuff from...i'll take your roadster for a grand...
