Remember that despite your inflated attitude of entitlement, you can't always do whatever you want without complaining. Also...next time you're in trouble, don't call a police officer. Since they suck so bad, they must be incapable of helping you, so why don't you just call a crackhead or something.
Point noted. I've had my gear stolen twice once about 10 years ago and just recently and both times the PIGS did nothing for me. Now, I know I'm not the only guy who's had hist sh!t stolen in a big city, but seriously, for somethings they are useless. The second time I had some gear stolen, I told them who I had suspected, but without hard proof they couldn't go and talk to the people. I mean, if they can't go and question them, who the f$@# can??

iFreedom, I was being sarcastic. The police ARE your best bet for help. The problem is, the burden of evidence, proof and the law is on the badguys side...that's why they couldn't go talk to them just on your suspicion...Its extremely frustrating for the police too...people just don't consider that. The point of my sarcasm was that if you think the police don't help, call a crackhead.

And why call them pigs? Because they followed the letter of the law, you call them pigs? The real problem is the sleazy lawyers and the ACLU sh!tbags that defend the badguys rights over yours.

Trust me, those that you call pigs would, and DO put their lives on the line for you...even though they know you call them pigs when you don't get exactly what you want.

*sigh* don't be hateful of a job you obviously don't understand.
I know everyone can give a story about some terrible thing, or some "shifty" perk some "damn cop" did or got....but how 'bout focusing on the stories of all the people that they help...a number that FAR outweighs the bad stories.

Gee man, you're right, I've never heard of anyone not calling the police because they didn't trust them. Oh, wait...

    Where I live, the city cops are either so fat and lazy that I could litterally orbit them while running away, or they are on the take. We are so close to Mexico and there are so many drugs coming through this area that it is staggering!

It is a beautiful area though, and the State Police are generally very honest. One of my brothers is a State cop, and the other (twins!) is a Sherrif's deputy in Las Cruces, which is about 100 miles away. Both of them used to work for the Sherrif's office or the city police here. They just get really quiet when anyone mentions their previous jobs.

The Sherrif is out, he has served all of the terms that he can, and maybe the new guy will be a bit better. The guy who is there now is terrible. And........... His name is Bully! Really, I couldn't make that **** up if I tried!

If I need a cop, I call the State Police. They are the goods!

I jammed from 8-9pm and stopped at 9 sharp to watch hell's kitchen, and 915, knock on the door. The PIGS!

I own a house damn it! I guess I'll have to move to a farm.

I was jamming with my jp6, mark V channel 3 iic+ channel master set at 11 oclock and output set at 11 oclock. Loud, but I didn't think the neighbours would be bothered.

Anyway, just thought I'd vent a little. I guess I'll have to move to the basement to do some cranking. :(

Adding my 1/2 cents worth. In our little town of 20,000 + or - , any noise that irritates a neighbour at anytime is a noise violation. Correct. First, why anytime, well if that guy next door works nights, you might work days. Now the craziness.
If you mow your lawn at 10:00 am and wake up the night worker you will be told to stop. On the third complaint you will be arrested and subject to a fine up to $500.00. Honest. There is more. If a cop can hear your car music from 50(fifty) feet away, you are subject to a noise violation simular to the above. Fifty feet. I can make bodily noises that a cop can hear from further than that. I no longer think it is about noise, it is about letting the local leo's pick and choose who can do what and when.
Just a quick note, we did have a bar fined over and over because of the bands noise, he closed after the fine exceeded $2000.00. The worst part is, he also is not given the persons name who called in the complaints. Yet, it is rumoured around this town that it was a bar more than a 1/4 mile away that also hosts bands, but he was cutting into his bussiness.
How is that for real community.

Man...thank the maker my neighborhood doesn't mind me and my band cranking it up and rocking out. I put in alot of hours (sometimes at night) practicing, and 2 regular weekday band practices that last about 4 hours (sometimes a weekend practice). Noone really cares and we've never had the cops called on us...we actually just drove one of our new neighbors away! Just couldn't take the metal!!

God bless Dixie!

I have no trouble where I live now. I am in my own place and the neighbors are a fair distance away.
By all means if your cranking your car stereo with your windows up and driving I have not heard of
anyone being pulled over. Yet, if you are in a tricked out blacked out vehicle full of friends cruising
around it is a simple reason for them to pull you over "just to give you a warning". Rather than the great reason
they have used like, oh sorry I thought you had a tailight out. Basically, they are supposed to have a reason
to pull you over, but even using the I thought you did not have you seat belt on, when you did, is pulling
you over for no reason.
