It is definitely new.

It's not a 61, it's just a Cherry Red Standard. It's working out well so far, plays great and sounds great. It's brand new, but it feels like I have been playing it for years. That's what really made me have to have it.

Probably, most of us wish we could afford an original 61'-63' in that condition 8) I'd say about 5K in near mint condition

That's an SG Standard in Heritage Cherry, the flash made it look like it's faded. The faded series doesn't have Trapazoid Inlays (they have dots) or covered humbuckers and the '61 Reissue has the smaller pickguard, that doesn't wrap around both the pickups.

I was looking at SG's but bought a 97' Les Paul Custom Shop DC Pro.
Flamed darkburst with 25" scale ebony fretboard and 57 clasic pups it was used but in near mint condition.
I wish I could figure out how to post it picture on this board

well, if you have a digital camera, upload the pics to your computer and save them, then post them on a photo site like photobucket.com, then, once you do that, take the url underneath the photo and click the 'img' button, paste the url and then close it with [/img] . that's how you post pics on here
