Tell me about James Hetfield's use of the Triple Rectifier

I saw Metallica the lat time thru ATL.

The tone was just amazing. The live production crew did a great job brining chest thumping bass and mids that cut.

For good rectifier tone, and me being more of a player than tweaker, I feel like the Recto sounds different and better up good and loud.

Low volume needs more treble to sound decent, then buzzes. Crank it up really loud, and the can of bees goes away as you back off the treble.

For a loud amp that sounds great in meal, rock... Hard to beat a recto IMO.

Crank it! Let Creeping Death slam forth!

For what it's worth, based on pics I've seen from the Load/Reload era, it appears that James has both Rev F and Rev G blackface Triple Recs, though I'm sure he sounds 99.9% the same through either.
