Hi there, I've been reading from this board for a long time and the info here helped me decide on my own Mark IV.
I play in a Christian band from the Maritimes of Canada. These are some old songs, not the best quality, but for this purpose they demonstrate some IV tones in a non intense genre.
Holy Spirit-is all Lead channel with no G-EQ (that was all improv'd to if it seems sporadic haha).
Holy is Your Name-is Lead with no G-EQ when it kicks in. R2 during verses.
Send Your Fire-is all R2 except for the solo at the end which is Lead with no G-EQ. I guess looking back on it I didn't use the G-EQ much at all!
You-is all R2

No pedals, Steve Morse MusicMan straight in. I don't understand the Rhythm 2 bashing! You can get all kinds of beautiful tight overdrive from that channel, just dig in a bit. I use Jazz III's which drive the strings a bit more to. Lately I've left the fat pushed in and gain on 8, lets you dictate the amount of chunk by how you pick. I put the bass at 2 and push it up ever slightly to get maximum thud from the pick attack right before it gets flubby. I guess it should be noted that I keep my treble at 7 or 8 in relation to the bass control. It reacts so nicely to picking dynamics! I love the Mark IV. The Lead channel, well I don't have to explain that one here haha. I've had it for almost a year now, at the time of those songs I had just gotten it so those settings are pretty standard. Anyways, enough of me.. Hope this spreads the array of available IV clips a bit.
