What are most of you finding to be the most user friendly MIDI switcher for controlling the Triaxis?

Steve

I'm using an original Ground Control (v 2.5). I use it in the 4 program / bank mode with the upper 6 switches controling my GCX. You can find them on eBay for around $75 - 100.

I used a Behringer FCB1010 for many years with no problems. Now I use the MPX R1 by Lexicon since it's designed to go with the G2 in my rack and it also does the job nicely. The Behringer will run you less and works like a charm.

Thanks. I have a Ground Control Pro. Was considering picking up a Triaxis and a 50/50. Wanted to make sure the best way to handle switching duties.

I use mine with a TriAxis/50-50 rack, works great.

I see the MIDI in is a 7 pin on the Triaxis. The GCX is a 5 pin I believe. Did any of you order special cables? For phantom power of the GCX, which pins got to be hot from the Triaxis.

the gcx will power the ground control pro with a 5 pin midi cable

But the MIDI in on the Triaxis is 7 pin, yes? I won't need the GCX switcher. The MIDI out on the Ground Control Pro is 5 pin as well.

If all the fails, I will use my Bradshaw stuff. Its all 7 pin.

Ah ****. I will wait till it gets here and dig in the box. Should have something to make it work.

Steve

Both triaxis and ground control have 7 pin midi.
You can plug a regular 5 pin midi into a 7 pin midi
You just can't get phantom power

From the Ground Control Pro manual:

If you are not using the GCX, but have a device that supports phantom power via a 7-pin MIDI
cable, this device can power the Ground Control Pro. Connect the 7-pin MIDI cable from
your Ground Control Pro’s MIDI Out to the 7-pin MIDI In on the device. Then connect the
Ground Control Pro’s Power Adaptor to the phantom power jack on the device

Now check out page 7 of the Triaxis manual.

Ta-Da! :D
