I'm a touring musician who's constantly making changes to his rig.
For the last two years I've been running an AxeFx through a power amp and switching with a Ground Control Pro, but recently have come to prefer using my Mark V as my primary tone source.
I run a personal in ear system and would still like to use my AxeFx amp sims for my in ear mix so I need a way to switch the channels on the Mark V and the AxeFx simultaneously.
I know that it is possible to use the GCP to switch the Mark V with something like a GCX, but is it possible to switch both at once?

My only idea is connecting the GCP to the AxeFx, using the MIDI Thru to run to the GCX, and then running the GCX to the external switching jacks on the Mark V. If anybody has a simpler way please let me know!

I use a GCX unit with Ground Control Pedal to switch channels on my Mark IV, as well as An Egnater IE-4 Preamp and TC Electronics G-Major. One click of the Ground Control Pedal and all the devices change at once.

Like the Mark IV, the Mark V has external switching jacks, so you can do something similar. The Ground Control with a GCX switcher is capable of doing what you want.

I can send you a schematic of my setup if you think it might help.

Also, the VooDoo Labs web site has diagrams showing a bunch of different configurations. I'm sure you'll be able to combine the various configuration diagrams to fit your needs. Here's the link: http://www.voodoolab.com/gcx.htm

No problem at all.

Post or PM me your email address and I'll send it to you.
