Switching channels

What kind of controller are you guys using in a
MIDI rig?Im running a GCX in mine and was thinking about getting a mkv and id like to use all the rack gear i already have.Also,are the different modes on the three channels foot-switchable,effectively giving u nine channels?Id really like to be able to switch between mk iic+ and mk iv leads with a footswitch...

You can midi-fy your Mark V (check out RJM) for channel switching and most of the other footswitch functions but the modes within the channels are not footswitchable.

The RJM ampgizmo looks interesting but that special cable you can by from them, does it replace the footswitch entirely or it connects to the 4x 1/4" connectors at the back of the V?

The special cable connects to the amp gizmo and into the footswitch jack on the amp. It eliminates the need to run ext. jack cables from the amp to the gizmo... also, you won't be able to use the Mute function without it as there is no ext. jack for that function.
