Hey guys. I found a few threads on external switching, and based on the info in those, I think what I want to do will work, but would certainly appreciate some confirmation from you guys before I order something.
Switch Doctor sells this 2 button switch (link below), which is technically a Channel + Loop switch for a 2 channel rectifier that connects via two 1/4. jacks. However, if I understand how external switching works, I think I could use this switch for channel switching on my 3 ch DR.
As I understand it, the default channel is Ch 2 when external switching is used. So, if I connected one output of this switch to the Ch 1 jack and the other output to the Ch 3 jack, then if neither switch was activated, I should be on Ch 2. If I activated either switch, it should select Ch 1 or Ch 3 accordingly. I understand that if switching between Ch 1 and Ch 3, I would have to press both switches - one to deactivate Ch 1 and one to activate Ch 3, or else I would have both channels active at the same time.
Is this correct in how this would work?
Here is the switch:

Thanks!
