If I'm facing the Studio Pre there are 4 preamp tubes running left to right. Behind the left-most tube (or the 1st), there is a 5th. Given this geography, how are the slots laid out?
Is it from left to right: V1, V2, V3, V4 with V5 the tube directly behind V1?
I'd like to make sure I've got it straight since according to the diagram that was recently posted of the Studio Pre for Mark IIC+ mods, the functions are:
v1 = Input and tone
v2 = 3rd triode rhythm OR 3rd triode after V3, lead
v3 = lead overdrive
v4 = main outs
v5 = reverb
If this function diagram is correct, then I need to re-arrange the tubes a bit.
Thanks.
PS
I've searched the forum for "Studio AND tube AND layout" and got 3 hits. None of which helped.
