Hi i could do with some help im not sure what to buy. what i want to be able to do is plug straight into my external sound card and record on my daw so taking this into consideration could i just buy a mesa studio pre amp and plug it in or a v-twin what would i be best with.
any help would be greatly appreciated.it also needs the ability to be able to plug in a chorus and reverb pedal so an fx loop cheers :D

I think the Recto Recording Pre would be the best fit for that kind of setup. [assuming you can use recto sounds]

I think that the v-twin sounds crappy. I've never heard the studio pre but it's a much higher-end piece of gear. It's got to sound better than the v-twin.
