I dont think it should matter if they are being used for metal. Guys have said t hat the Stiletto does metal tones VERY well. I dont use mine for Metal because I dont play that style but my Stiletto gets so much gain that it is stupid.

If Devin Townsend uses one then you can take that to heart.

Devin Townsend is great. Here's a video of him using a Recto and Stiletto together, and you gotta love the random quotes...

For those of you who are better at this than I am, suck it..."

Reminds me of what would happen if you threw Kelsey Grammar and Doc from Back to the Future in an atom smasher. Look at his hair..the man clearly doesn't give a flaming rat's a$$!

"Haha I'm a *****." LOLOL

Turumbar82,

RE: "So that is why I ask if the stilleto is good for Modern metal?". But that's not what you asked originally. You didn't specify modern metal; you just said metal. To say that you've never played a Marshall that could do metal just makes you seem a little....statistically unusual. Now again, if you are talking modern drop-tuned nu-metal, that makes sense, but not otherwise.

Perhaps you are under the incorrect assumption that the term "metal" only refers to the very recent post-2000 nu-metal?

Thanks for imparting some of your immense amount of knowledge upon us all Rocky! I'm glad to know a non metal players opinion on if an amp can do metal! :)

I choose not to play metal. Doesnt mean I dont know how to play that style.

Turumbar82... you asked a question so be prepared for all sorts of comments. Your attitude just comes off like a cocky kid... ignorant and arrogant.

Thanks to everyone who read the thread topic and actually answered the question. Thanks for your opinions and thanks for the links. They were helpful!

Thanks to those who didn't actually answer the question but still decided to give their opinions on things that have nothing to do with the thread question.

I do feel as if enough players have answered my question now. From others opinion I can now see that the Stilletto can get a great heavy metal sound.

Thanks! bye!

+1

Some people dont realize that you can learn a lot from a DISCUSSION. Having a question answered doesnt always cover every variable.
