I have a Rectoverb and a Stiletto Duece II (sorry, no Ace). The only time after purchasing my Deuce that I touched my Recto was when I had the Deuce in the shop (input jack was getting a little 'odd'). Anyway, I personally narrow it down to this: Recto is better for rhythm work and a Stiletto is better for leads. I know that's a simplistic view and there's a few Recto lovers that would set me on fire for saying that, but the two amps go great together like that in a mix. I always personally found that leads had a tough time cutting through the mix with a Recto, especially if the mids weren't totally cranked. Decide on what role you're looking to do before buying. Also, if you need that extra scooped metal sound, you can just throw an EQ in the Stiletto's loop, it works like a charm when I play Tool or nu-metal type stuff.
