Will buy me one of these the upcoming week. I don`t need 100 Watt, but on the other hand i heard that the Ace- Deuce- Trident sound a bit different. I want a fat organic, warm not too bright tone.
Love how the Ace looks, but as you can imagine tone is more important than looks. Made some search here but didn`t find too much. Any suggestions?

More power means more ability to push the low end. A lower power amplifier can seem 'brighter' in comparison as it lacks the headroom for the lows.

But Stilettos, in general, are a "brighter" sounding amp than say, a Mark series or a Recto. But no worse than many Marshalls I've heard.....If "bright" is an issue, you may want to avoid the Stiletto. 8)

I have an Ace and love the tone overall....and I have a Triaxis with a 50/50 and I mainly play the Ace now.

I find that I can tame the brightness using the treble and presence controls (also certain brands of tubes can affect this as well).
Don't forget the speakers make a big difference, too. A 4x12 has plenty of lows even with the Ace, IMO.

I bought the Ace rather than the Deuce or Trident mainly because: less weight, easier on the back and, in most clubs, 50w is plenty and allows the power section to "open up" more, giving, IMO, a more driving tone.

To each his own.....
good luck! :D

+1 50watts is plenty for most clubs. The deuce and trident have 50watt power modes on them. But you still get a bit more headroom and bottom end.

Thanks a lot for answering!!
Kind of tone i am looking for is as following:
Is it possible to get that tone with the Ace with those guitars or should i rather go for the deuce/ trident? That tone is definitively not too bright in my book.

By the way have a Bogner V30 2x12 oversized cabinet at the moment, but will get a Mesa cab later.

You know what? if you have the money, I'd go with the Duece......
I had a specific need for the 50 watter, otherwise I would have bought the Deuce. It's probably big enough for any venue you'll come across (you can always mic through the PA).

Unless you really need the power, the Trident may be overkill......and more weight to haul around!

Good luck with your decision...this is a situation where you almost can't go wrong no matter what you decide! :D
