The Recto 2:100 has a 'modern' switching jack. The Simulclass 2:90 has 'deep', 'half drive' and 'modern' voicing switching jacks.

Clearly nice power amps with nice options that are designed to work well together and be switched by their Mesa preamp counterparts... but... does anyone else wish that these features could also be switched by chassis mounted dip switches on the actual power amps in addition to the option of using the switching jacks?

I love the dip switches on my Strategy 500 for this reason although it doesn't offer the same switchability as the newer power amps... not that this worries me!! heheh...

Comments anyone?

If you're wanting to switch them on solid, you could always short out a 1/4" plug and stick it in the switch jack.

Yep, a dummy plug will certainly work... I just like my dip switches

You could get a few Boss FS-5U footswitches and stick them on a shelf in your rack -- direct access to turning those features On/Off... or run them right out to your pedalboard. Personally I prefer to run the 2:90 in Deep and Half-Power mode most of the time.
