Got a 60w Mark III head running into an Avatar 2x12 semi closed (oval opening in the middle) cabinet with one V30 and one G12H30. Its been recommended to me, now that I have a Boogie, to go with 2 V30s. Any opinions?

Well, it really depend on the sound you are trying to achieve. Not sure what you are going for, but the speaker combo you have sounds like a nice mix.

V-30's and H-30s are both fairly mid rangey speakers. I don't think you will get a dramatic difference switching the H-30 for another V-30.

If you are looking for a heavier sound, try putting a closed back on the cab before you replace the speakers. That can have a pretty dramatic effect on the sound. It will probably have more of an effect than swapping the H30 for V30.

If you are looking to really change things up add a C-90 or an EVM. That should give you more high and low end.

I don't think the wattage rating on the H-30 will be a problem as long as you keep it paired in a 2x12 and keep your output below 10. :)

Thanks, that's about what I figured...and I really like how they sound, was just wondering. And yeah I do want to close that cab up.
