I own a Dual Rectifier (3ch) and recently had a tube go bad. I'll order a replacement 12AX7 preamp tube but it prompted me to ponder...

How many spare tubes on average do YOU have on hand in your gig bag for emergencies?

6L6's or EL34's?
5U4GB's?
12AX7's?

Love this board! :)

just one guy's opinion 8)

I always kept a spare quad of power tubes and at least 2 preamp tubes in my gig bag. I didn't use the tube rectifiers, so I didn't keep spares.

I would change my power tubes about every year, so I always kept the previous set as spares in my bag.

I have a spare set of 6l6s and about 10 12ax7s for my rectoverb.

I would recommend a full set of powertubes (6l6s/el34s) and 3 to 4 12ax7s.
