Hey guys, got bored today and decided to try out some sounds on R2 with my MKIV. Came up with a real bouncy elastic sound, was great to play with. Started playing along with some drums and I came up with this really ugly flatted fifth riff, so I worked from it and came up with a few more simple ideas. Recorded it all, here it is, let me know how you like it.

The lead work was done on the lead channel, all improvised. Recorded bass with my LTD B-204, drums are DKFH. Miced up my 4x12 Mesa cab with an SM57 and Apex460 set to cardiod. This is all straight in...

Check it out:

Thanks for listenin'.

EDIT: Oh yeah, forgot to say, the guitar was a KH-602 if anyone is interested 8)

i would have liked the rhy tone to have alittle more gain and focus becasue it's such a good riff... can i steal it??

Jokes

It's sweet..

I tried it gainier, I ended up liking the elastic sound of R2. It didn't come out the greatest in the recording, it sounds more brittle than it really is, but I still dig it. Plus you can hear the chords better in R2. 4 note chords get a bit lost sometimes in Lead channel when the volume is low and the gain is high (which it was today since I can't crank up since everyone else is home at my place.)

Thanks for checking it out though
