I can understand picking up a MKIV for $1200 in a US-only auction and selling it to a European/Japanese/Aussie buyer for $1500 or something, but there surely can't be any money to be made on those other purchases... :?

Verrrry strange...I can only fathom that maybe it's a touring musician who just needs 3 amps really really quickly, can't wait to order new ones..

The weirder thing is that there were other people willing to bid against him up to $2k...madness or something underhanded?
