Guitar Center Atlanta has one SLO100 modded used, two tone mods and a depth knob. Just had to plug it up for few. Half Stack.

First drive with the SLO. Great amp with good tight depth. $2999 for the rig is $$$ but it was the RATT sound era exactly. Loud it sounded great, only played it loud for about a half hour.  SLO is definitely on the list of amps to get if I win the lottery. Very much another iconic amp. Felt like standing on musical holy ground. Not that I would trade my Boogies for it... I am thinking about going back and playing it again today. 8)

Anyone have any of the single channel Soldanos or ones without the bells and whistles of the SLO100? The SLO overdrive tone is really the money shot for me. I could see one of those on ebay being in my future. Of course all the music rag pimps review them like the second coming, like magazine reviews are just extended advertisements. What is the most basic Soldano that will get the iconic SLO overdrive tone?

Avenger isn't even close. Great tone? Absolutely but it's no SLO. I've seen SLO100 closing price on the Bay for under $2K.

I have had two sit downs with a SLO 100, about an hour each. A very cool amp. A different beast than a Boogie. I can see why a person would want to own both. I was taken by how great a blues amp it is. I was lucky enough to play a Beck Strat with the sumarium colbalt noisless pups. Volume knob twists and the SLO 100 work magic. There will definitely be one in my future. The plans for an ED have now been officially changed! May have to sell off some other 'non-essential' things... like the wife's car...

I've never tried one myself but how about one of those Yamaha T100's? They are supposed to have the famous SLO lead channel sound for a lot less money!

I have not seen a Yamaha amp. I am thinking that if even a Soldano Hot Rod or Avenger misses the mark for an SLO, some other badge will be worse. I have been doing lots of YouTubing and listening to every sound byte possible. I have a few SLO's to road test this weekend.

Hot Rod 50+ has a loop and gets in the ball park. The Real SLO is something special, and if you want the real deal, you got to buy the real thing. Blues City Music has a Soldano BCM 44 that looks very interesting.

$2500 asking - SLO 100 with Haynes, D' martini mod switches and depth knob mod. 9 months old. Lawyer amp. It isn't what Joe Boss is playing now so it must go. Ha! Guy paid almost 4400 for the amp and 3 mods. We shall see..... or hear.... It is supposed to be virginal.... maybe had some Starbucks spilled on it.

I am thinking the MKV and SLO could work out to be good friends....

Mine was a lawyer-owned SLO half stack but no mods. Those guys are awesome caretakers. Now you need a PQ3 oops!

The more I play, the more I appreciate an amp that responds like that. I know Warren Haynes rides his vol. knob quite a bit, and his tone seems to clean up nicely with his Soldano/Diaz/etc.

*maybe that's what Willy and the Po' Boys were angling for in the CCR song.....some real instruments!
