I have a MINT condition Blue Angel 2x10 combo amp in dark blue tolex.
It has 2 Mesa alnico speakers made by Eminence.
Serial # is 14XX, so it does not have the hum issues that the earlier ones had.
I have done the full mod set to it which includes:
Fan ON/OFF switch in the empty hole where the Ground Switch was on the earlier ones.
Change Input jacks to Fender specs for 1 & 2 (higher and lower output).
Change Bright/Fat switch to
__Fat = standard input gain for jack #1
__Bright = twice the gain as the standard Blue Angel which results in a brighter, punchier tone that overdrives much more easily.
Treble knob is now a Pull Bright which is now changed to a Fender type of Bright instead of the funky Mesa one.
All mods are reversible and there are no extra holes in the chassis.
I am looking to put a rack system together so I can play in stereo with my new band.
Primarily, I'm looking to trade this for a Mesa 2:90 power amp.
I really love the Blue Angel, but I have way too many amps to play at one time and I don't want to use 2 heads for the stereo setup. I would rather have an all inclusive rack setup.
