I've been playing around with my mark IV today. my Lead channel has no where near the volume of my R2 or R1 so I'm trying to figure out what's going on.
it has gain etc. but if I run R2 up to 5 I have to dime the Lead master to keep up with it.
BUT the other thing I realized to day is that although the tone controls are still working independently and each others channel
settings don't affect one another(thought I may have had a bad octocoupler)
if I set the pre tone controls to the exact same settings and with the gain on R2 at 9 and the gain/drive on the lead channel both at 8?
I have 2 almost identical sounding channels, it's almost like whoever did the cap job on this before I bought it cloned the lead channel on to R2
