and it kicks ***.

It's an '82 Mark IIB, with Reverb and the graphic EQ. Got it for 750.... a bit of a steal, considering the previous owner had just taken it to Mesa for a tune-up and bias cap change before he sold it to the shop where I bought it.
I've had it for about three weeks now.

I was wondering if some other MKIIB users could give me some sample settings to mess around with.
here is where I'm at right now:

volume 1 at 7
treble at 5.5
bass at 6
middle at 5
master 1 at 2
lead drive at 10
lead master at 1.5

I'm looking for high-gain Petrucci-y tones as well as medium-gain for classic rock and blues.
the clean on this amp is amazing.
I still need to figure out how to switch the EQ in and out by foot. Should I be using a stereo cable? There are two jacks in the back of the amp, behind the 2 power tubes. which is which? there is the reverb connection between the two jacks.

any help would be really appreciated.

A good deal!
I would try a bit more Volume 1, and less Bass and Lead Drive.
Volume 1 will also effect how much Lead Drive you get.
If you want more bottom end with the Lead sound, try the Graphic.
It's usually less "tubby" sounding this way. More defined.
Here's a link to the manual:

It looks like you do need a stereo cable (TRS) for a Reverb/EQ footswitch.
