Nice and punchy, and more "musical". (Note: Since I'm sure I'll get hammered on for using Mesa tubes, I have good reasons.)

Boogies sound good stock to me (as well as hot rodded), and since I like the stock tone I usually go with stock tubes. Thanks for the info, I've always wondered if there was a difference.
