I'm excited as hell.....I finally took the plunge. Contemplated long and hard and was a bit gun shy of the Mark V because I've heard there is a decent learning curve that comes with it.......but, I'm gonna spend the time as I've heard spectacular things about this amp. I'm playing through two schecter V1's equipped with EMG actives....one ebony and one rosewood, considering going passive in the one that doesn't have coil tap as the high's are very bright on them.

I won't get to play it till tonight but I'm pretty **** excited. It was quite a chunk of change.....but if it works out its money well spent. I ended up with the combo, mainly cause I got a good deal on it an its nearly new. I am thinking I'll add a 4x12 cab and may stuff it in a head shell, but for now it'll work fine with the 1x12. I'll be asking plenty of questions as I've heard of people struggling to find "their tone". But I'm very excited to be a mesa owner.....and it's snowing here in Texas so it was a perfect day to buy it.

I've had mine since 2009, and I'm still finding cool new sounds. The learning curve isn't as rough as earlier Mark models, but you still need to get comfortable with how interactive the tone controls are.
