I have an Mark IIB 60/100 watt head and have recently come across some issues.
So last night at band practice due to a storm we lost all power to the outlets in that room. To isolate the issue we started flipping breakers and eventually found the broken one. Though in the process of finding it we flipped one of the breakers and the amp sparked and clicked twice (stupidly I left the amp plugged in). Eveutally we ran power from a working outlet to our equipment but when I attempted to turn the amp on I saw a few quick sparks, and smoke coming from the chassis with a odor reaking of burnt plastic.
I opened the amp, drained the caps and found that the main power switch is burnt out with a slight burn mark under it. I check the fuse and it's fine. I don't know how to test the filter caps considering the amp doesn't turn on and with only a basic knowledge of electricty im not to sure where to go from here. Can anyone help me out?
