Slaving a Mark IIC+ SRG into a Simuclass Power Amp

I see a mesa Mark IIC+ SRG for sale local that's somewhat attainable for me to get. However I always wasnted to DRG or just DG if I ever got a IIC+. If I got this amp and later down the line got one of Mesa's simuclass power amps would that be comparable to having a DRG IIC+ or will a be missing something. I know Metallica slaved their IIC+'s if I'm not mistaken.
