Single recto fx loop

Ive owned duals, triples, tremoverbs, but recently got a pair of single recs to run in stereo. Unlike the others there is no loop bypass switch. is the loop always active? Anyway to bypass it completely? Ive never met a loop that didnt color the tone, and miss that one control on the duals..etc… I guess i could have it modded to bypass?
