I got the chance to play thru one of these for a while yesterday and I really liked it.
So I'm watching a few on the Bay and I noticed there are Series I and II.
besides the EL34/6L6 option difference what other differences are there between the 2?
Thanks

Series I has a blip/lag on channel switching that Series II cleans up.

It also does this by introducing the infamous channel switching "pop" having owned both...

Personally, the slight lag of channel switching is better than the obnoxious pop. Although, at that price, I think both is unacceptible.

So I don't owne either anymore. :)

Mine doesn't pop.....
Anyways, I've owned both and the series one seemed to be a little nicer on the clean channel although that could've been an impression I had early on with the series 2.
1. Raw mode in gain channel
2. Reverb knob on front
3. slightly more aggressive voicing (according to Mike at Mesa)
4. Ability to handle EL34's
