series fx loop mod confusion?!!?!?

If I perform the series fx loop mod on my Dual Rec will i still be able to use the solo and master functions on the amp???

I take it you have a 3 channel head?

There is a mod to the footswitch that makes the solo function active again.

well, after doing some reading here on the trusty forum, i still can't find a clear answer to my question. I assume I could run a nice clean boost in the fx loop after the mod if you can use the solo function anymore but, I really like the global master control.....anyone have some insight for me???

well I did the mod to the head and it definitely sounds better but, I found I didnt have to mod the footswitch to be able to use the solo function of the head. just thought i would post this, just incase anyone else wanted the same as what i wanted.

That's interesting. Which version of the mod did you do? I've seen it done a few different ways.
