...what's the EL34 bias range for the Mark 5?

I've got a couple of sets and I'd like to be sure that they are both within the proper range.

From my understanding, since the amp is a fixed bias switchable between 6l6 and el34, that isn't something that one would have to worry about

As long as the tubes themselves are matched you should be fine. Also, in case you don't want to void your warranty, make sure they are MESA EL34s.

Of course, if you bring the amp in for warranty repair, and you switch the non-Mesa tubes for Mesa tubes, they'll never know.

I have SED Winged Cs rated 29 from Tube Depot.

I tossed those jokers in alittle while ago, and so far I'm really digging em!

A marked improvement in the channel 2 modes, particularily in the high end, smoothing things out, and definately giving that channel somewhat more of a Marshally flavor/vibe.

I've had a bad cold kicking my ass the last couple of days (ugh!), so I'll get back to it again tomorrow, burn them in abit more, go thru every mode, tweak, to see what the 34's add/take away...you know in a way, it's almost like getting a Mark 5 all over again!
