1973. An original Mark 1. 100w. It has a graphic EQ but he never uses it. Runs through a 1x12 loaded with an Altec 417-8A. Still uses the same amp as his primary sound. His backup is a non-EQ Mark I that dates from '77 or '78 if I remember correctly.

He played (and named) the original Princeton Boogie back in 1969, but I've never seen anything that said he actually bought one.

What are the settings he wrote on the black Dymo label?
I can only guess that the first one is 6.75 but I cannot read the rest of them.

Thank you in advance.

Looking at the amp, it looks like it's dialled in to:

Vol 1 - 6.5
Vol 2 - 6
Master - 6
Treble - 6.5
Bass - 4
Mids - 5.75

I also found a picture of his backup amp in his live rack and it had this dialled in,

Vol 1 - 9 (just a hair below)
Vol 2 - 9 (just a hair above)
Master - 4.5
Treble - 6.5
Bass - 3.5
Mids - 5.7

Carlos added more recently some Dumble (Overdrive Reverb) amps to his equipment. But all of his great albums were recorded on MKI, AFAIK.

A+!
