Hi, I have a Mesa Roadster 2x12 combo amp, and I recently bought a Mesa Stiletto head. I don't have access to cab right now for my Stiletto to play through. I want to run my Stiletto amp into the speakers in my Roadster combo. Problem is the cord is too short and doesn't reach the Stiletto. The only way I can get it to fit is if i face the amps back to back with the Stiletto sitting on a chair facing the wall and I can barely plug in the cab cord to it. This way sucks!
So what Im wondering is their a way to hook up the Stiletto into the roadster and have it act as a pass through so I can use the amp with the roadster speakers. To be clear I don't want to run one through the other with both amps powered or both at the same time. I just want to sit the head on top of the combo with the combo off/standby and play some rock through the Stiletto, when Im done switch off the Stiletto and use the Roadster again like normal.
I know I can cut the 1/4 and add length to it and swap back and fourth, but I would prefer not to hack up my prized amp though. If that's the only option I will save up for a cab, though it looks like it could work using one amp like a slave to the other but I dont understand how I would go about it. Any help would be awesome.
Thanks, Sean.
