hey..that's an honour..

i didn't had the time to listen all the samples..

if had some more gear, and a tube preamp for my 57..
thanks
adrian

That is a great tone-- I wonder how it will work in a full mix.

You guys sound really good, plus it's awesome that your songs are in Romanian. (I'm not Romanian... I just think it's cool.)

sounds great. can you send ýour settings on the amp. do u boost the triple with an overdrive??

well..
for that part i didn't used any overdrive pedal just guitar straight to TR, ch 3..and room volume..i didn't cranked up the amp
my back switch is on spongy and the other on silicone diodes..
i mest a little bit with mic positioning, an SM57 the good all mighty SM57
i ended with the mic on the edge of the speaker.
i will have a photo with the front settings..not complicated at all
presence 1 o clock, master 9 o clock, gain 2 o clock, bass 10 o clock, mid 12o clock, high 2 o clock..modern switch

Soon i will post some other audio clips, with an overdrive pedal a TS10..
and a ge-7b eq in the loop.

thank you all

probably the best recto tone i've heard on the forum
Kudos
+1. You must have found the perfect mic position pretty quickly, lowbass5. I'm very, very impressed, as I've spent days getting nowhere near that good a tone.

I think the mixing you did with the bass guitar helped a lot, too... they blend seamlessly, giving the entire track a heavy yet distinct sound.

hey..thanks!
the mike was at the edge of the speaker (V30) i only used one SM 57 through a phonic mixing desk and a m-audio 2496 sound card... and of course cubase sx3.
the bass guitar it's a little bit overdriven..to add fatness and mids..
for drums i use groove agent

you get some really great recto tones here, very well done. It's great to know that with "just" guitar + amp + sm57 you can get those wonderful tones... it's a faith injection for all us who try to record themselves with "affordable" gear. Thanks for sharing

simple is better!
:D
soon i will get a beta 57..i will post a soundclip with 2 mikes
no fancy preamps..no fancy outboard..no fancy guitar
just a fancy amp and a few fancy mikes :D

as i promise, here is something with two mic's
i will post a little bit later a few photos(had to charge my camera bateries)
you will be able to see all the settings, gain used, mic positioning..guitar used..pickup..the pictures will speak...
There are a few themes in the clip, due to the lack of control..earphones..there are a few delays between the L an R Stereo field

Amazing tone, guy...please explain my Triple how to sound in this way...

man..thx a lot..
it's not the greatest tone...there are a lot of guys out there with a much better tone...this was just an example of two mic placement..if you realy want to sound like this..get an active pickup..like EMG or SDuncan and use the setings from the photos.
Also get two microphones SM 57 Shure

great sound on myspace!

...and also get a cab with V30!!! I have g12t-75 on my Marshal 1960 4x12 and it sounds really closed... i think you can ear it on myspace...it's the right channel of the song "Cosa"...!
