Is anyone else really into the Raw voicing on their Rectos? I have always blown right by it for a pretty stupid reason. It's "less loud" :). With the right EQ going on, a higher output, and absolutely slamming the front end with my Blues Driver I had a blast playing on this channel over the weekend. There was great sustain, clarity, and still a decent amount of oomph that is quite different than the Vintage/Modern High Gain voicings. Anyone else with similar experience? Check it out!

Excellent! Anyone else?

I love the Raw mode on chan 2 and chan 3 of my Dual Recto. I must also share how much I love the 'pushed' mode on the clean channel - like a very touch sensitive version of the Raw mode, dare I say it - but it does sound very 'Mark-esque' to me.

Absolutely! My settings are almost identical to yours, except I've got my mids a hair higher than yours. I'm running a maxon 808 and OD-9 though it also.

As far as I'm concerened the OD9 gives me a much better high gain crunch than the vintage/modern voicings neither of which I care for. The 808 gives a beautiful lead sound, and combining the two just equals insanity. No matter what it's a great sound.

Thanks for the feedback guys! It's cool to hear that others are into this setup as well. I hear you on the pushed channel JPIndustrie. I have been messing with that too. I was close to finding a lead sound that I really liked. I am trying to use raw for rythm and pushed for lead! Backwards? :) Any suggestions?

A lot of you guys are running these maxon pedals for a good boost. It sounds like I really need to try one at some point.
