Haha just kidding

Talking about the high gain channels, the Roadster is definitely voiced darker than a Dual Rec and has less 'fizz' in the high end. Which is better is all personal taste

To any who have played/heard both, is there a difference in tone?

Um do they now make a 4 channel dual rectifier thats not a roadster or roadking?

Nope

I guess one can only dream.... I had a dream that mesa made a stiletifier which had 4 channels, recto clean, recto modern, stiletto clean and stiletto drive......

Why on earth would anyone want recto cleans?

I happen to like the clean channel on my rectifier, I like the dark clean that it has. I was a huge fan of Seether when I started playing and they used the triple rectifiers clean channel for songs like "Fine Again" and "Driven Under" I loved that sound. So chalk it up to personal preference.

+1

I agree. I like the grit my 3 channel has for the cleans.

Besides, who buys a Recto for the cleans anyways?

The nice thing about this question is that any store that sells mesa's always has plenty of rectos around to try. Cant stock a triaxis or a mark to save their lives though.

thats very true, the few stores in my area only have roadsters, expresses, rectifiers, and stilettos. I asked the GC in colorado to call me when they get a Mark V in so I can try it, that was in April. They never had a Mark IV either!

Right on man. I'm in Northglenn. Call National Speaker. Lot better service than GC imo.
